Abstract

This research focuses on the criterion for the interpretation of Quran by AL-Tabatabai “an applied critical study”, and its problem is Knowing the faces of these deviations. The study aims to highlight and respond to them, and it relies on the inductive method in collecting the scientific material and the applied analytical method in the study of the scientific material. The most important results, the principles of interpretation according to AL-Tabatabai derive from the origins of his belief, which have permeated it, and the use of esoteric interpretation as a means; to reach the goal, which is the Imamate and what’s related to it, the prevailing of AL-Tabatabai’s deviations, in the authority, and the attempt to prove it. The research found that there is no validity of this interpretation for the public because of its many deviations, and the limitation of benefiting of intelligent person who separate the wheat from the chaff.
