Abstract

Objectives: This research aims to identify Al-Kala'i's approach in his narrations of the Prophet's biography in his book "Al-Iktifa fi Conquests of the Messenger and the Three Caliphs," its resources and sources in it, and his method in presenting narratives of the Prophet's biography. Methodology: The researcher's approach: the inductive approach: by fully extrapolating the part of the book intended for study to know the author's approach to it, counting its sources and the number of times taken from it, then the descriptive approach: which is represented by describing the book, its arrangement, and the author's method in it, then the analytical approach: by stating the author's approach in presenting the events. The biography of the Prophet and the way he relies on those who preceded him, with an explanation of the features of the book and the criticisms against it. Conclusion: The research concluded that Al-Kalai combined the collective, comprehensive, and narrative approach in presenting biographical narratives, in addition to brevity and succinctness, in an exciting literary style.
