Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to identify the crimes that constitute verbal sexual harassment, clarify the forms in which sexual harassment occurs, explain the elements of the crime of verbal sexual harassment and its punishment, and highlight the linguistic methods used by perpetrators in sexual harassment. Methods: The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach by describing forms and patterns of linguistic sexual harassment, analyzing the relationship between language and sexual harassment, and interpreting linguistic phenomena associated with sexual harassment. Conclusions: The main findings and recommendations of this study are that verbal sexual harassment is one of the most prevalent and widespread forms of harassment in our current era, the harasser resorts to verbal threats when their victim does not comply with their desires and demands, and the final weapon the harasser uses to pressure their victim is psychological coercion.
