Abstract

This paper reveals the experience of the poet Dhafer Al-Haddad in the limits of the graying and youth correlation indicating its inherent beauty and cognition, which the poet reflects in his poetry. The study seeks to achieve this by following the stylistic phenomena in his poetry. Stylistics is concerned with the study of form and thought in general within the framework of language or linguistic event and looks at the structures and their functions within the linguistic system. Therefore, it was an approach adopted to study the correlation of graying and youth as a stylistic phenomenon in Dhafer Al-Haddad's poetry. Biographies about Al-Haddad have stated what is worth looking at besides the prevalence of graying and youth correlation in his poetry where image, rhythm and meaning are combined, so it was necessary to discover the dimensions of this phenomenon.
