Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of the application of the total quality management system on performance and the reality of the application of total quality management, through (Administrative Participation, Accountability and Transparency, Delegation of Authority, Decentralization and Continuous Improvement) in governmental institutions in Makah and know the difficulties and obstacles facing the application of total quality management therein. Therefore, the study used a simple random sample from the study population which includes government institutions in the city of Makah, then a simple random sample of workers in this community was selected, amounting to (113) in government institutions. Among the most prominent findings of the study is that most of the study sample generally agrees that there is a positive impact of the application of the total quality management system on the performance in government institutions in Makah. In addition, many of the study sample members generally agree on the high level of total quality management application through the application of the principle of decentralization and improvement, the principle of accountability and transparency, and the principle of delegation of authority in government institutions in Makah. The study recommended the need to maintain the positive impact of the implementation of the total quality management system on the performance in government institutions in Makah, and the need for the management to adopt a strategic plan to spread the culture of quality and achieve it in the various departments of the institutions. In addition, the need for the administration to constantly monitor the level of quality of services provided in government institutions, and work on providing solutions and proposals to improve the quality and services provided by government institutions.
