Abstract

The study aimed to measure the role of King Khalid University in promoting the concepts of sustainable development by applying the Asir Qimam and Shem strategy. The analytical descriptive approach and the questionnaire were used as a basis for the study and were applied to a random sample of (220) members and employees of King Khalid University and employees of the Asir Development Authority from various departments. The SPSS statistical analysis program was used to process the data, and the study reached many results, including: the University encourages research and studies on the use of environmental resources in the Asir region and benefit from them in comprehensive development. The university contributes to preparing human cadres that possess expertise and skills. The university is one of the most important strategic reached many recommendations, including the need to pay attention to and invest in human capital, integrating them into administrative decisions and relying on teamwork, the need to add majors in the university that support the strategy and its objectives and establishing pilot projects under the auspices of the university; the university must support graduate projects.
