Abstract

The emergence of the concept of sustainable development which based on the idea the development is a process that seeks to achieve integration between the economy, society and environment. this led to the need of reconsidering the increased consumption of fossil depleted energies that harm the environment, through working to rationalize their use, or searching for alternative, renewable and environmentally friendly energies. That will ensure the future of energy and preserve it for future generations. So when we rely on renewable energy we’ll make the future of our children and grandchildren more secure, and this is reflected directly on the achievement of sustainable development. This paper aims to clarify the role of renewable energies in achieving the sustainable development with reference to the Algerian experience and investment opportunities that abound in the area Renewable energy.
