Abstract
Objectives: This study deals with the verbal connections in the nominal sentence in Al-Buhturi's descriptive poetry as to studying, analyzing them, exploring their semantic and aesthetic impact. This came through presenting the areas of verbal connections for the nominal sentence in poems dedicated to the purposes of description in Al-Buhturi's poetry and studying them grammatically to highlight the semantic and aesthetic aspect these links have achieved. Methods: To fulfill the objectives of the study, the researcher studied the verbal connections grammatically, then worked to explain their role in directing the connotations of meaning or revealing this meaning in Al-Buhturi's descriptive poetry. Conclusions: The study concluded that verbal connections were more prominent in Al-Buhturi's descriptive poetry than other connections and that these connections worked to achieve textual cohesion of descriptive poetry and make it as a unit. In addition, verbal connections represent tools through which textual connotations are directed and contribute to highlighting the semantic aspect of Al-Buhturi's descriptive poetry. Thus, the researcher recommends studying the verbal connections in the nominal sentence in a grammatical-semantic study through exploring its semantic impact on the texts of the Arab heritage.
