Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing physical activity among the elderly in the Al-Kharj region, utilizing data analysis through the binary logistic model. Methods: The study followed a quantitative research methodology, collecting data from random a stratified sample of 500 elderly individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Results: The findings revealed that health status is the most significant factor, with healthy individuals being three times more likely to engage in activities compared to those with health issues. Additionally, income plays a substantial role, with the likelihood of activity increasing by 96.2% with each rise in income. Moreover, married individuals are 151.3% more likely to participate in activities compared to unmarried individuals, while males have a 58.9% higher chance of participation compared to females. Finally, social support showed a positive impact, increasing the likelihood of activity by 72.1%. Conclusions: The study recommends the development of public policies and the improvement of infrastructure to support the elderly and enhance their participation in community activities based on the extracted results.
