The study aimed to identify the degree of job satisfaction of researchers in research institutions, in addition to identifying the role of elements of material incentives in achieving satisfaction of researchers in research institutions. A random sample of 129 respondents was selected from the study population of 600 researchers. Data were processed by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The percentages, frequencies and hypothesis tests were used to analyze the data. The most important results were found that researchers are satisfied with the nature of their work. The study also found that respondents were dissatisfied with the work environment, wages, salaries, and material incentives, as well as insufficient funding for scientific research. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made, the most important of which was to improve the working environment and to increase wages, salaries and financial rewards for all employees of the institutions, as well as the fair distribution of researchers by recruiting them in rural stations and Providing them with all necessary requirements for scientific research so as to encourage them to work in such stations.
