The Role of Material Factors in Job Satisfaction for Technicians in the Agricultural Research Institution-Sudan

Abstract
The study dealt with the role of material factors in the job satisfaction of technicians in the Agricultural Research Institution in Sudan. The study aimed to identify the degree of job satisfaction of technicians in research institutions, as well as to identify the role of elements of material satisfaction in achieving satisfaction of technicians in research institutions. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach and the case study. A random sample (129) was selected from the study population of 392 technicians. Data were processed by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The percentages, frequencies and hypothesis tests were used to analyze the data. The most important results have been found that technicians are satisfied with the job and the nature of their work. And that they are not satisfied with the suitability of the scientific qualification with the nature of their work. The study also found that respondents are dissatisfied with the work environment, wages, salaries, and material incentives. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made, mainly the improvement of salaries and wages structure, the development and qualification of technicians and technicians in the agricultural research organization, internally and externally, and finally, further researches should be carried out in the field of job satisfaction and its impact on job performance.
