Abstract
Green Sukuk are a kind of Islamic financial instruments and relatively modern, which has become increasingly important in recent years, as it is specifically directed to support projects related to climate or the environment such as financing investments in renewable energy especially in the Middle East and North Africa, that abounds with great potential from These energy sources, but under the required exploitation. The present study aims to highlight the importance of providing adequate financing to finance renewable energy projects in the region for the development of this sector, where green Sukuk is considered an appropriate financing tool. The descriptive approach has been adopted and a number of results have been reached, the most important of which is that green instruments are a strategic choice for promoting the renewable energy sector in the region and addressing environmental challenges, particularly global climate change.
