Abstract
The study aimed to measure the impact of the effectiveness of training programs on job performance in commercial banks in the Balqa governorate. The study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and the study population consisted of all workers in commercial banks. The survey unit of commercial bank employees was in Balqa, where the questionnaire was distributed to (227) employees. The study reached many results, the most important of which was the existence of a statistically significant effect of the effectiveness of training programs in their fields (planning and designing training programs, trainers, and evaluation of training programs) on the job performance of employees of commercial banks in Balqa Governorate. And the absence of a statistically significant effect of the effectiveness of training programs in their fields (identifying training needs, trainees, and training location) on the job performance of employees of commercial banks in Al-Balqa Governorate. The study recommended working on developing strategies for selecting trainers, due to their importance in affecting the level of employee performance, and conducting more future studies that try to study the relationship between the effectiveness of training programs, and both service quality and competitive advantage.
