The impact of corporate governance on achieving competitive advantage A field study of the private hospitals in the city of Amman

Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess the effect of corporate governance on the competitive advantage of private hospitals in Amman city. The study population was comprised of 7 private hospitals out of 40 hospitals, and there were several administrative levels in the analytical unit (general managing director), deputy general manager, department heads, employees) where they numbered (240) employees, and the analysis unit sample was (150) questionnaires were distributed, (125) were retrieved, and it was valid to use (121) questionnaires. The most interesting of the findings was that the statistically significant impact at the significant level is (α≤0.05) in applying governance in the competition advantage with combined dimensions (transparency, equity, independence) in private hospitals in Amman with their combined dimensions (cost, efficiency, creativity). The study recommended several recommendations, of which the main one was the need to maintain the dimensions of governance in private hospitals and training their staff on how to benefit from the dimensions of governance.
