The impact of knowledge sharing in achieving professional development "A field study on faculty members at Najran university"

Abstract
The study aimed to know the effect of knowledge sharing represented in (Behavior, Organizational Culture, Information and Communication Technology) on achieving professional development for faculty members at Najran University. The sample of the study consisted of (317) faculty members at Najran University, who were chosen by a simple random sampling from a community of (1464) faculty members. The Descriptive Analytical Approach was used by developing a questionnaire consisting of two axes. The first one included 18 paragraphs to measure knowledge sharing, these paragraphs were divided into three main dimensions which are (Behavior, Organizational Culture, Information and Communication Technology), and the second axis included 37 paragraphs to measure professional development. The validity and reliability of the tool (questionnaire) was confirmed, and many results were reached, the most significant of which are: the presence of impact at the significance level (a ≤0.05) a for knowledge sharing in its dimensions represented in (Behavior, Organizational Culture, Information and Communication Technology) on professional development from the point of view of faculty members at Najran University and in light of the results reached, the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are: The necessity of communication between staff personnel to exchange views and ideas, holding scientific seminars and conferences to participate in the exchange of knowledge between faculty members, encouraging workers to share knowledge by providing the necessary support, providing an adequate support to encourage work as a team, the university board encourages faculty members to make their own efforts to develop their skills and abilities, and finally the necessity for the university board to make periodically survey on the training needs for faculty members to meet them.
