Abstract
This research aims to study the sovereign debts and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on their size. It is a review of the processes that were used by the international groups with a demonstrative standpoint of the Islamic economics for the nature of these debts and the processing that was used. We used the descriptive method with the analytical method in reviewing the details of the topic. The research found a number of results: the most important of them is that the sovereign debt expresses the debts that the guardian borrows for "Bait Al-Mal" from the standpoint of Islamic economics, outside the state, which is permissible by the shariah disciplines. In addition, the procedures that have been used by international organizations to process the sovereign debts during the Corona virus crisis agree in some ways with the standpoint of Islamic economy with a distinction of Islamic laws within its procedures for dealing with debts and the controls it has set to limit its expansion or recycling.
