The impact of strategic orientations on organizational excellence in Jordan customs department

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the impact of strategic orientations on organizational excellence in the Jordan Customs Department.Researchers are fully aware of the importance of government sector organizations in the national economy in Jordan. The study was applied to the Jordan Customs Department. The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection in the Jordan Customs Department. The number of them is estimated by (88) directorates and centers, and their total number is (603) employees in the upper and middle administrations. (270) questionnaires, of which (258) were retrieved. After sorting the questionnaires, it was found that the number of valid ones for analysis was (251). The results of the study revealed a statistically significant impact at the level of significance (α≤0.05) for the strategic orientations with their dimensions (market orientation, learning orientation, technology orientation, entrepreneurial orientation, cost orientation) on organizational excellence with its combined dimensions in the Jordanian Customs Department. The study recommended the following: Leaders and administrators in government sector organizations must continue to adopt strategic orientations to highlight organizational excellence and achieve the highest level of achievement in the organization continuously, supportthe capabilities of workers and encouraging them more, providea work environment that supports enthusiasm and active participation, and achieve a balance between social and organizational life to highlight excellence.
