Abstract
The concept of romanticism poses an epistemological obstacle, on the one hand this doctrine was formed gradually and in separate places in Europe, and on the other hand, multiple sources, philosophical-intellectual or sociohistoric, overlap in the formation of its specificities and principles. However, this doctrine remains linked to the bourgeois revolution in its birth, calling for the release of all traditional restrictions, crossing the borders of infinity. But with the transformations that France has known, notably the absence of political stability and the evil of the century. The return to reality has become as necessary as the commitment to current societal challenges.
