Methods of Coping with Psychological Stress and Psychological Reassurance during the Period of COVID-19 Pandemic Outbreak among a Sample of Students in the University of Tabuk

Abstract
The aim of the current study was to identify the relationship between methods of coping with psychological stress and psychological reassurance during the period of COVID-19 pandemic outbreak among a sample of (340) students registered in the University of Tabuk. In order to realize the purposes of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach. The psychological stress methods scale was applied (prepared by the researcher, and the psychological reassurance scale, prepared by Shukair, 2005). The study reached a number of results, including the following: a positive statistically significant relationship was found between the methods of coping with stress (positive) and the level of psychological reassurance, as well as there is a negative statistically significant relationship between the methods of coping with stress (negative) and the level of psychological reassurance, there are no significant differences in the methods of coping with stress attributable to gender (male, female), and there are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological reassurance in favor of males. The study indicated the necessity of establishing counseling programs in methods of coping with pressures for university students.
