Abstract
In the current study, we aimed to verify the psychometric properties of the referenced assessment achievement test in mathematics for the first grade of intermediate school students- Al-Makhwah Educational Governorate, for the academic year (1440/1441) during the second semester of which (1107) were included in our study community. The study sample consisted of 253 first grade intermediate students, where the test was built through nine stages: (determining the purpose of the test- dissecting academic content into its basic components-formulating behavioral objectives- designing a table of test specifications- selecting and writing the paragraph types- producing and applying the test- Test results analysis at the level of the total score- Test results analysis at the level of test paragraphs- Determining the cut-off score for the referenced assessment test). Because of the previous steps, a referenced assessment achievement test was developed in mathematics for first-grade intermediate students. This test included 23 paragraphs, such as the descriptive analytical method was chosen for this study because of its capacity to clarify the necessary information needed by the study's subject and to achieve its goals. According to the research, the test has good discriminatory validity and descriptive validity coefficients, based on the Saberman equation; its reliability coefficients equaled (0.801). By Livingstone's coefficient (0.70), it reached that level. Cut score for the test according to Angoff methodology was (66%).
