The Degree of Practice of Distance Education in Higher Education Institutions and its Relationship to some Variables (Gender, Age) from the Point of View of Students in the Sultanate of Oman in Light of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the degree of distance education practice in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the Corona Covid 19 pandemic, and to identify statistically significant differences in the degree of distance education practice in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the pandemic Corona Covid-19 according to the gender variable and the age variable. The study sample consisted of (591) male and female students, of whom (333) females and (258) males as they were chosen randomly. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire to determine the degree of distance education practice in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the Corona Covid 19 pandemic. It includes (12) paragraphs, and the second dimension (the equipment that must be available for the use of distance education) includes (12) paragraphs. The third dimension was (financing distance learning programs), which included (12) paragraphs. The results concluded that there is a high level in the degree of practicing distance education in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the Corona Covid 19 pandemic and found statistically significant differences in the degree of practicing distance education in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in The Corona Covid 19 pandemic remained attributed to the gender variable at the significance level (alpha = 0.05) in favor of males. As well as the existence of statistically significant differences in the degree of distance education practice in higher education institutions from the point of view of students in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the Corona Covid 19 pandemic due to the age variable especially in the circumstances of the Corona Covid 19 pandemic.
