The Quality of Public Schools' Performance in the Directorates of the Northern West Bank Governorates in Palestine in the Light of the Sustainable Leadership Style

Abstract
Objectives: To identify areas, standards and indicators for developing the quality of public schools’ performance in the directorates of the northern governorates of the West Bank in Palestine in light of the sustainable leadership style. Methods: The study followed the qualitative approach, and the interview was adopted as a tool for the study, and (19) male and female managers were selected (7 males and 12 females) as an intentional sample, the responses of the participants in the interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results: The study concluded with a set of areas, criteria and indicators through which the quality of public schools performance can be developed in light of the sustainable leadership style, the most important of which are: strategic planning is the basis for successful work, especially in educational institutions; activating community partnership with the local community, studying school needs at the beginning of the school year, the importance of the accountability system in the success of the educational institution, providing a safe, supportive, inviting and comfortable school environment and the importance of activating technology. The Corona pandemic contributed to the emergence of e-learning in schools. Conclusions: The study came out with the need to carry out strategic planning in the light of the school's mission and future vision; manage financial and human resources and educational learning programs related to the school, including managing teacher and student performance effectively and paying attention to the educational climate, curricula and activating technology in the educational process.
