The Degree of Practicing High School Principals in Jeddah Governorate to Ethical Leadership from the Point of View of Teachers

Abstract
Objectives: The Purpose of the study is to investigate the degree of school principals at Jeddah Governorate practicing of ethical leadership as perceived by teachers, as well as exploring significant statistical differences in the responses of the study sample according to the difference in specialization, academic qualification, and years of service. Methods: The study adopted the descriptive approach. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was constructed consisting of (33) items distributed over (4) domains. It was applied to a random sample of (368) teachers. Results: The findings of the study showed that the degree of practicing ethical leadership among secondary school principals in Jeddah Governorate in general was at an average degree, in all domains except personal traits domain, where it was a high degree of practice. Further, there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of practice of ethical leadership by secondary school principals in Jeddah Governorate due to differences in ethical leadership among secondary school principals in Jeddah Governorate in terms of specialization and years of service. The results also showed that there were significant statistical differences in the degree of practicing ethical leadership in the administrative practices domain due to differences in academic qualifications. Conclusions: The study presented several recommendations, the most important of which were: working to enhance the skills of secondary school principals related to ethical leadership.
