Training Needs to Develop Digital Teaching Skills Among Primary School Teachers in Light of the Standards of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the training needs necessary to develop digital teaching skills among primary school teachers in light of the standards of the International Society for Technology in Education. The sample size was (317) teachers. Methods: The descriptive survey method was used for its suitability for this type of study. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (7) areas. This questionnaire included all (25) items, where the procedures for the validity and stability of the study tool were guaranteed. Results: The study found that the training needs to develop digital teaching skills among primary school teachers in light of the standards of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) at the macro level were in medium need. The results of the study also found that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the study sample members to the training needs necessary to develop the digital teaching skills of primary school teachers in light of the standards of the International Society for Technology in Education ISTE due to the variable of gender, specialization and experience in the overall field. Conclusions: The study was concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which is to work on building specialized training programs that aim to develop teachers' skills in employing digital teaching effectively to develop the educational environment.
