The role of school principals in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development in Jordan from the viewpoint of teachers

Abstract
This study came to find out the role of school principals in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development in Jordan. To achieve this, a questionnaire was developed that included (24) items distributed on three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic dimension, social and the environmental dimention. This questionnaire was distributed to a number of (340) male and female teachers, during the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020, it was one of the most prominent results, that the role of school principals was high in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development, and the arrangement of dimensions was as follows:The social dimension was the highest, followed by the economic, then the environmental dimension. And the study recommended allocating an award for the best school concerned with the environment and beautifying it, and encouraging collaborative teamwork, and the study suggested conducting another similar study on private schools.
