Strategic Vigilance among Academic Leaders at Qassim University

Abstract
The goal of the study is to recognize the level of strategic vigilance among academic leaders at Qassim University, and to reveal the statistically significant differences between the response of the study sample in determining the level of strategic vigilance related to (gender, academic rank, and years of experience) To determine the most prominent requirements for achieving strategic vigilance at Qassim University from the point of view of the faculty members. The descriptive approach and survey were used as the study tool, and the questionnaire was applied to an exploratory sample of (35) faculty members to ensure the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. The basic research sample was randomly selected, with 200 faculty members participating in the second semester of the academic year 1441-1442 H. The results found that academic leaders at Qassim University were characterized by a high degree of strategic vigilance, but it was found that there were statistically significant differences in the responses of members of the research sample on the level of strategic vigilance due to gender differences and in favor of females. There were no statistically significant differences attributable to the variables of the study scientific rank, years of experience, and the requirements for achieving strategic vigilance received a large degree of approval.
