Compulsive Hoarding and its Relationship to Emotional Regulation among Umm Al-Qura University Students

Abstract
The current study aimed to determine the relationship between compulsive hoarding and emotional regulation among a sample of Umm Al-Qura University students and the gender differences according to the age group. The study was applied to a sample of (200) male and female students from Umm Al-Qura University, whose ages ranged between 18-27 years. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of male and female students on the compulsive hoarding scale in favor of the female students, the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female students on the emotional regulation scale in favor of the students, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the members of the smaller sample on the compulsive hoarding scale in favor of the eldest. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the younger and older sample members. Older on the emotional regulation scale is in favor of older.
