The Degree of School Administration’s Practice of its Role in Developing the Values of Citizenship among Students in Batinah South Governorate at Sultanate of Oman from the Perspective of Teachers

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of school administration's practice of its role in developing the values of citizenship among students in Batinah South Governorate from the perspective of teachers in the Sultanate of Oman. And whether there are statistically significant differences according to their gender and years of experience. The researchers used descriptive survey approach and developed a questionnaire consisting of 40 items distributed into four domains (rights, duties, belonging and loyalty to the country and community participation). The study applied to 345 teachers chosen by the available approach. The results revealed that the degree of school administration's practice of its role in developing the values of citizenship among students was high, additionally, the results showed that there are statistically significant differences from perspective of teachers due to the gender variable in favor of female teachers. There were no statistically significant differences from the teachers' viewpoint, due to the years of experience. The researchers recommended: inviting school administration as well as students in developing the school plan, setting-up a committee to prepare and implement school activities programs through the implementation of awareness programs for the students about the tourist sites in the Sultanate of Oman.
