Abstract
The study aimed to demonstrate the role of talent management in achieving strategic entrepreneurship at Sultan Qaboos University: one of the public universities in the Sultanate of Oman and the challenges facing the application of talent management at Sultan Qaboos University. The study used a qualitative approach to suit the objectives of the study by interviews. The study sample consisted of (7) leaders of Sultan Qaboos University. The study showed a set of results based on its questions by analysing the interviews using the (MAXQDA) program. The challenges facing the university in applying talent management are divided into four types, (Organizational and Administrative challenges, physical challenges, cultural challenges, and evaluative challenges). Talent management plays a major role in achieving strategic entrepreneurship which can be identified in two main roles: an external role and an internal one. The study recommended the necessity of designing a talent management strategy for the university, adopting strategic entrepreneurship as a modern approach to development and allocating part of the budget to provide the required resources and technologies to support talented university employees.
