The Locus of Control (Internal - External) and its Relationship to Emotional Intelligence among A Sample of Graduate Students at the University of Hafr Al-Batin

Abstract
The current study aimed to find out the relationship between the locus of control (internal - external) and its relationship to emotional intelligence among a sample of 152 male and female higher education students at the University of Hafr Al-Batin. To achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive approach was used by collecting primary data on the questionnaire method as a tool for the study. The results showed that the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the locus of internal or external control and emotional intelligence, and the absence of a statistically significant relationship between the locust of internal and external control and emotional intelligence due to gender. It also showed that the level of emotional intelligence among higher education students came to a large degree. The study concluded the need to strengthen programs that enhance emotional intelligence among higher education students at the University of Hafr Al-Batin, and benefit from regional, Arab and international experiences in the field of developing emotional intelligence skills among higher education students at the University of Hafr Al-Batin with the importance of developing practical programs related to the management of emotions, knowledge and emotionality among higher education students at the University of Hafr Al-Batin.
