Guidelines for Developing Diversity Management Strategies and Policies at Omani Universities in the Light of Some International Experiences

Abstract
Objectives: This research aimed at adopting diverse strategies and definite policies for elevating tackling human diversity at Omani universities. This could be achieved through organizational controls and measurements represents indicators for assessing and evaluating the best practices of Diversity Management at universities. That is for adopting effective policies that respect diversity among employees; and promote their inclusion and promotions; and benefit potential advantages of diversity for manifesting employees' underlying potentials and distinguished performances. Methods: The research employed the descriptive approach, reviewing literatures on reasons for applying Diversity Management in the educational institutions, and the most prominent international experiences of applying Diversity Management in higher educational institutions conclude to a proposed guideline for developing strategies and policies of Diversity Management in Omani universities in light of some international experiences. Conclusions: The research proposed a number of suggestions and recommendations, in the light of description and analysis, for improving the Omani universities' future, it recommended employing the proposed guideline for assessing and evaluating the best practices of human diversity management in Omani Universities as it contains many included dimensions (Diversity Management practices and rubrics, Human Diversity Management and evaluation success factors, strategic performance indicators, and diversity management policy indicators). The way that this study is presented is clear and shows an objective image of university performance outcomes.
