Abstract
Objectives: The research aimed to measure the impact of the National Values Program on the social behaviour of early education children in the Sultanate of Oman. The research presented a program of national values for children in early education between the ages of (4-6) years in the Sultanate of Oman. The program included (16) training sessions to be provided over (8) weeks, at a rate of one hour for each session. Methods: The researchers used a scale of two pictures, the children's behaviour was measured before and after the experiment, where the researchers adopted the quasi-experimental approach, the sample consisted of (30) children in the experimental group and (30) children in the control group. Results: The results of the research also showed that there were no differences between the children of the experimental and control groups in the skills of social behaviour before applying the national values programme. The results also showed an improvement in all social behaviour skills (self-care, interpersonal relationships, and communication) among the experimental sample after applying the program compared to the children of the control group who were not trained in the national values program. Also, there are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the early education stage in terms of social behaviour after receiving the National Values Program. Conclusions: Based on the research findings, we recommend the following: incorporating early childhood education curricula in the Sultanate of Oman into the national values program used in the current research, given its compatibility with the age group and the Omani, and Islamic environment. Additionally, it is to enhancing the training programs provided to early childhood educators to include methods for instilling national values in children and focusing on the social development of children at all educational stages, as it is crucial for organizing society and establishing its values and beliefs.
