The Degree of the Employment of Teachers in Cycle One Basic Education Schools in the Sultanate of Oman, Electronic Tests in Educational Platforms and their Relationship to their Computer Competencies

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the use of electronic tests by female teachers in cycle one basic education in the Muscat and Al Dakhiliyah governorates in the Sultanate of Oman, and to assess their computer competencies in educational platforms, and to reveal the level of computer competencies to these teachers. It also aimed to identify the impact of the variable educational governorate on the real employment of electronic tests and computer competencies as well as revealing the relationship between them. Methods: To achieve the study's objectives, the researchers used a descriptive method, which was deemed suitable for the study. They have developed a questionnaire, consisting of (20) statements, which was applied to (751) randomly selected members of the study population. Results: The results showed that female teachers in cycle one basic education employed electronic tests in an average degree with an arithmetic average (3.011) among the study sample. Additionally, there was a significant relationship between teachers' computer competencies and the use of electronic tests in educational platforms. It also showed the level of computer competencies to these teachers was high, with an arithmetic mean of 3.463. In addition, the results indicated there were no significant in the use of electronic tests based on the governorate variable while there were significant differences in computer competencies based on the governorate variable. Conclusions: The study recommended continuing training programs to enable the teachers in employing electronic tests in the educational platforms effectively and provide the necessary skills.
