The Degree of Practice of Total Quality Management and its Relationship to the Level of Social Responsibility among Secondary School Principals in Amman from the Point of View of Teachers

Abstract
Objectives: The study aimed to identify the degree of practicing Total Quality Management and its relationship to the level of social responsibility among secondary school principals in the Directorate of Education of Qasaba Amman from the teachers' point of view during the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024 and to find out whether there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample members regarding the practice of Total Quality Management and the level of social responsibility according to the variables (gender, academic qualification, and years of experience). Methods: To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive correlational approach, based on collecting data from the study sample members, where the study tool was developed, which consisted of two sections: the first section is: to measure the degree of practicing Total Quality Management, which included (30) paragraphs distributed over four areas, and the second section: to measure the level of social responsibility, which included (22) paragraphs. Results: The results of the study showed that the degree of practicing Total Quality Management among secondary school principals in The Directorate of Education in Qasaba Amman from the teachers' point of view is average while it showed that the level of social responsibility among secondary school principals in the Directorate of Education in Qasaba Amman from the teachers' point of view was average; the results of the study also showed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the degree of practicing total quality management among secondary school principals in the Directorate of Education in Qasaba Amman from the teachers' point of view and the level of social responsibility. Conclusions: In light of these results, the researcher recommends that school administration should adopt the philosophy of total quality management and its applications, which are characterized by rapid practical development with the aim of survival, growth and increasing benefits, and give it more attention, especially in the areas of continuous improvement and the skill of communication and community interaction, and include social responsibility as a basic criterion of performance quality standards in government secondary schools, and suggest some mechanisms that can be used in working towards enhancing the level of social responsibility among school principals through courses and workshops conducted by the Ministry of Education to achieve this.
