The Level of Perceived Organizational Support and its Relationship To Organizational Citizenship in Secondary Schools in Hafr Al-Batin Governorate from the Point of View of Teachers

Abstract
The aim of the study was to identify the level of perceived organizational support in secondary schools in Hafr Al-Batin Governorate from the point of view of male and female teachers. It also aimed at identifying the level of organizational citizenship in secondary schools in Hafr Al-Batin governorate as well as detecting statistical differences among the average responses of secondary school teachers on their evaluation of the level of perceived organizational support and the level of organizational citizenship. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive correlative approach and designed a questionnaire consisting of two main sections: the first for organizational support and includes four dimensions: organizational justice, involvement in decision-making, the behavior of leaders supporting their employees and support of self-esteem." The second was for organizational citizenship and included five dimensions: altruism, gentility, good sportsmanship,, civilized behavior and clear conscience. The study sample was selected through randomly sampling method and included a population of (2009) male and female teachers of the secondary school in Hafr alBatin Governorate with a sample of (407) representing 23% of the total members of the study population. The study results showed that the level of organizational support in secondary schools in Hafr al-Batin governorate was medium from the point of view of teachers with the order of the four dimensions as follows: Behavior of leaders supporting employees at a degree of (High) followed by support of selfesteem at(High), organizational justice at(High), and finally involvement in decision making at (High). The level of the behavior of organizational citizenship in secondary schools in Hafr al-Batin governorate was high showing the order of the five dimensions as follows: gentility at a degree of (High), clear conscience at (High), altruism at (High) good sportsmanship at (High) and civilized behavior at (High) degree. The study showed a positive correlative relationship with high value and statistical significance at the level of (0.01) between the level of the perceived organizational support in secondary schools in Hafr al-Batin governorate and the level of organizational citizenship behavior among the teachers. The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) among the averages of the responses of secondary school teachers about the level of the perceived organizational support due to differences of qualifications, years of experience and gender.
