Abstract
This study aimed at: recognizing components of knowledge economy that should be included in the Jurisprudence course for girls in the first year intermediate in Saudi Arabia and knowing to what extent the course took into account these components. To achieve the aims of the study, the researchers developed the study tool; components of knowledge economy. They used this tool to analyze content of the book after testing validity of the tool. They used the descriptive analytical approach. Statistical data was treated using repetitions, percentages, and Holsti's equation.The most important results of the study are: Number of components knowledge economy that should be included in the Jurisprudence course for girls in the first year intermediate in Saudi Arabia is 22. These components were distributed on three main domains: knowledge and mental development, technology and communication, and the social, national domain. In the light of these results the researchers offered a number of recommendations. The most important ones are: Curriculum developers should take into account including components of knowledge economy in the Jurisprudence course for girls in the first year intermediate in Saudi Arabia, especially research and inquiry skills, and ethics of Islamic research. Using technology (in all its forms) in the Jurisprudence course and teaching them the skills of self-learning using these technologies with reference to trusted web sites.
