Authorithoritarian Practices of Intermediate School Principals in ALJahra Area of Education in the State of Kuwait and their Relation to Teachers Motivation Towards their Jobs

Abstract
The study aimed to identify authorithoritarian practices of intermediate school principals in ALJahra Area of education in the State of Kuwait and their relation to teachers motivation towards their jobs, and the effect of certain variables (sex, educational qualification and years of experience) on that. The study sample consisted of (391) male and female teachers. two questionnaires was developed to measure the variables of the study .The first measures authorithoritarian practices. It included (31) items distributed on three fields (Planning, Work execution, Make decision) The second measure teachers motivation towards their jobs. It included (22) items.The questionnaires validity and reliability have been confirmed.The results showed that :authorithoritarian practices of intermediate school principals in ALJahra area of education in the State of Kuwait was medium. The results showed no statistically significant differences due to variables (sex, educational qualification, years of experience) on all fields of authorithoritarian practices. and the results showed also teachers motivation towards their Jobs were medium. The results showed no statistically significant differences due to variables (sex, educational qualification, years of experience) on all fields of teachers motivation towards their Jobs. And the result showed a positive correlation between all fields of authorithoritarian practices and all fields of teachers motivation towards their jobs. According to the findings of the study, the researcher suggested a set of recommendations . (1) Attention to the training of school administrators to adopt democratic practices and participatory rather than authoritarian practices. (2) Legislation issued by the ministry of education include the involvement of teachers by school principals in the planning and works execution and make decision.
