Determining the Performance of Students With Intellectual Disabilities who Can Learn the First Graders’ Skills in Mathematics

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the performance of students with intellectual disabilities who are able to learn the first graders' skills in mathematics. The study population consists of all the intellectually disabled boys' and girls' students enrolled in primary, middle and secondary public schools in the governorate of Al-Res. The numbers of students were 44. The researchers used the descriptive approach in which they built a test to diagnose the mathematics skills of students with intellectual disabilities as the study tool. The results indicated that the level of students in the skills as a whole was in the average. There were also significant differences in the diagnosis of mathematics skills favoring female student. Differences were found between the primary and intermediate stages, in favor of the intermediate stage, and between the primary and secondary levels, favoring the secondary stage. However there are no differences between the intermediate and secondary.
