Abstract
The present study aimed at identifying the most predictive factors of academic success and adding a new criterion for the selection and selection of students applying for universities and technical colleges. The study sample consisted of (500) students from the technical college in Hail. The researcher used Newton's translation of the researcher, Raven's general intelligence test, the professional bias scale, and the five major personality parameters. The results of the study indicated a relationship between predictive factors (mechanical preparations, the five major personality factors), General intelligence, professional orientation, and secondary level) and scholastic success. The results showed that some predictive factors contributed to the prediction of scholastic success. The most promising was the general intelligence, followed by the secondary level. The results also indicate differences in the degree of factors predicting academic success according to the variable of the scientific and educational levels. The results of the study recommended that the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation add battery tests of the factors that predict the success of the tests of the Center, and recommended reconsidering the method of classification of students to take into account their preparations and tendencies and personality factors.
